Photo by David Denenberg, please do not reuse without permission. For many years, this was the longest-span arch in the world (it is now second to a bridge in China). Do you remember the 1990's commercial where a GMC Jimmy was bungee-jumped off this bridge? In this photo, the bridge is shrouded in late-afternoon haze. I snapped this on a 95+ degree day in July of 1994.
