In 2005, one span of the old four-span Roquemaure bridge was still standing near the newer Roquemaure suspension bridge. This span crossed a small channel of the Rhône to a small island. The three spans crossing the main part of the Rhône had already been completely removed. The deck and cables of the span pictured here were either removed or destroyed by 2006.
