This cable-stayed bridge, opened to traffic June 24, 2007, carries I-280 over the Maumee River. Patrick writes: "This is the first cable-stayed bridge in the western hemisphere to use stainless steel sheathing over the stays. It looks sharp."

Patrick noted this cable, visible in the next several photos: "I found the cable extending from the pylon summit, down through the deck, to an anchorage interesting. It was probably used for stability during construction of the roadway out from both sides of the single pylon."
