The newer footbridge pictured here is part of the Gravity Park attraction. It was built on the piers of a former suspension bridge that had been dismantled in 1980. David writes: "The current bridge, 102m long, is an activity bridge where customers need to wear a harness. It replaces a suspension bridge that was built 1902 and dismantled 1980. The original Shirakawa bridge foundations were tested and found to have constructed with rail lines as their steel foundation."
