This high-level replacement for the old Bidwell Bar bridge was completed in 1965 in advance of the inundation behind the Oroville Dam. On this day, the water level looked a bit low, but how low can it go? The roadway is actually 627 feet above the stream bed. The reservoir is quite deep.
