Dzongu’s Ring Khola bridge too dilapidated to be safe anymore - Sikkim Now. Dated June 8, 2012. Article detailing concerns regarding the bridge's condition. "The Ring Khola Bridge which connects Lower and Upper Dzongu in North Sikkim is now in such ruinous condition that it can no longer be considered safe for vehicular traffic… What is worse, on one end of the bridge is the risk of shooting rocks and boulders from a landslide triggered by last year’s earthquake which had claimed a mother and her son at the spot. Some maintenance work is being undertaken by the BRO under whose jurisdiction the bridge falls, and some iron plates have been replaced. However, complete replacement of the bridge is what urgently required." The suspension bridge was eventually bypassed later in the 2010s.

YouTube - Ring khola vlog. Video posted June 28, 2021. Patrick S. O'Donnell summarizes: "Screenshots of a group of teens' outing to a swimming hole and picnic near the suspension bridge. Images start off with their approach to and across the new deck truss bridge. One capture of the suspension bridge to the west and another of the abrupt right turn west once across the deck truss bridge. A couple more of their approach to the suspension bridge. Their swimming hole requires them to pass under the suspension bridge. The final trio of images are at the very end of the video / final 15 seconds when the vlogger signs off from the suspension bridge."
